As it updates your system bios, it also updates the SATA controller bios. To do it using Asus Update, simply unzip the bin file to a directory, then using Asus Update, select the "Update bios from a file" option, and then select the bin file you just unzipped.
Select "Open", and then when the final screen comes up, select "Flash. As soon as it's done, it'll reboot or maybe it tells you to reboot - I don't remember. Whatever you do don't interrupt it while it's running.
